Luna, a 1-year-old German shepherd, miraculously survived after being reported missing in the Pacific Ocean last month, Navy officials said.A dog lost overboard in the Pacific Ocean turned up five weeks later on a remote island off Southern California, Navy officials said Wednesday.Luna, a 1-year-old German shepherd, fell off her owner’s fishing boat Feb. 10 into waters about two miles from San Clemente Island, Naval Base Coronado spokeswoman Sandy DeMunnik told The San Diego Union-Tribune.Nick Hayworth reported the blue-eyed pooch missing, explaining “one moment Luna was there and the next she was gone” when he and his crew were reeling in their traps, DeMunnik said. Search teams gave up looking for her about a week later.
