Traveling with your dog or cat by air this summer? The Transportation Security Administration on Friday demonstrated how to prepare your pet for clearing security at the airport terminal in Albany.First, you need to check with your airline to make sure your carry-on pet container will fit beneath your seat. While there’s usually space beneath the seat on full-size aircraft, if your itinerary includes a smaller regional jet or turboprop, your pet may have to travel in the baggage compartment in a more rigid carrier suitable for checking. There may also be a fee, depending on the airline, to bring your pet.Friday’s demonstration included Kara Becker of Albany, her pet Charlie, a 3-year-old King Charles Spaniel, and Diane Blackman, owner and head instructor at All Dawgs Training Services in Albany.
