The Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center was among more than 50 shelters across the state participating in the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s “Empty the Shelters” free adoption event
Approximately 30 dogs and 32 cats were adopted out to local families at this year’s event, with several hundred more dogs, cats, and other animals adopted throughout Michigan,
During the annual event, the BISSELL Pet Foundation covers all adoption fees as a way to help free up space in Michigan’s shelters.
